A VSD or variable speed drive is a type of motor drive used in electro-mechanical drive systems to control AC motor speed and torque by varying motor input speed and to control the associated voltage or current variation. The basic function of a variable speed drive is to control the flow of energy from the mains to the course. Variable speed drives are assembled between the electrical supply and the motor. Power from the electrical supply goes into a drive and the drive then regulates the current that is fed to the motor.
Recently power electronics technology has reduced VSD cost and size and has improved performance through advances in semiconductor switching devices, drive topologies, simulation and control techniques, and control hardware and software. Likewise, an electrical panel board, breaker panel, electric panel, is a section of an electricity supply system that divides the electrical power into subsidiary circuits while providing a protective device in a common enclosure. Techtimia has been one of the leading service providers in electrical and vsd control panels.
